A story that has been written since 2004: Mauting and VOMA Uherský Brod We visited the VOMA s.r.o.sausage factory in Uherský Brod, a family business that has been producing traditional sausages since 1992. We have a long-standing cooperation with the company – since 2004, when they purchased the first Mauting smoking chambers for their new plant. They still have our chambers from the first years of cooperation in operation, supplemented by newer models.We talked to Mr. Tomáš Mahdalík, the operations manager, about the history, vision and, above all, why they choose Mauting technologies for their operation.
Mauting: Could you please briefly introduce VOMA and its history? Tomáš Mahdalík: VOMA has been on the market since 1992 and our biggest milestone came in 2004, when we built a new production plant, where we are still based today.Since that year, we have also been cooperating with Mauting.We are a small family business with 70 employees and we try to do everything we do as best as we can.We also have other visions and plans for the future and I believe that Mauting will definitely help us with that.
Mauting: Why did you decide on our smoking and cooling chambers back then? Tomáš Mahdalík: As a Czech company, we believe that we produce from Czech raw materials and meat and use spices from Czech suppliers.From this perspective, the choice of Mauting was clear to us.We are from East Moravia, Mauting from South Moravia, and I think it is important to support and develop skilled Czech companies, both VOMA and Mauting are.
Mauting: Your production has been growing gradually.How did your requirements for the equipment develop with it? Tomáš Mahdalík: We gradually expanded production and currently have two two-carriage and one single-carriage smoking chambers, and of course also cooling chambers, without which it is simply impossible.Today's times are dynamic and technology is developing, as is the Mauting equipment.However, the current capacity is no longer enough for us, which is why we are considering purchasing another two-carriage chamber in the fall.
Mauting: How satisfied are you with the technical support and service? Tomáš Mahdalík: We are extremely satisfied with the support and service.This is the greatest added value for us.If we need any spare part, Mauting will solve it within a matter of hours.We call in the morning that, for example, our motor has broken down, and Mauting has these parts in stock, so in a few hours we have the chamber back in trouble-free operation.This is exactly how professional cooperation should work.
Mauting: How would you evaluate the cooperation over this entire long period? Tomáš Mahdalík: In the time that we have had Mauting chambers, i.e. since 2004, there has not been any major problem that we would have to solve in the long term.Mauting is one of the few companies where we really do not solve any problems – whether mechanical or personnel.For us, Mauting is a company that I would recommend not only to Czech but also to foreign partners.Mauting knows what they are doing, they do it well and most importantly, they continue to do it!
